I just read an interesting artilce at the NY times web site that talks about how one panelist at the Internext porn show had discussed live sex chat appearing in hotel rooms on the interactive TV systems that they have running now. Some people interviewed had said that the idea is far fetched and noted that most hotels that have porn on demand on thier tv systems limit the type of porn that can be enjoyed, making sure it is more “mainstream” and less hardcore than live sex shows would be.
Well that is not necessarily true, and I think they may have missed the fact that there is a lot of live sex chat already going on in hotel rooms across the world right now. First off if the flirtforfree network was brought into the hotel room TV system then I doubt that it would be much different than the hotel porn that is already popular and being viewed in hotel rooms across the country. Flirtforfree has strict rules about what their sex chat host do and don’t do. Secondly internet connections are more and more common (and often free and hi-speed), so you know a lot of people are already engaging in live sex chat with thier laptops everyday online through the internet. Sure hotels are not really getting a cut of the money (unless they are charging for internet access), but there certainly is a lot of internet sex chat going on, even between couples that miss each other and get to sex chat with an instant messenger.
Considering that being out of town and in a hotel all alone offers some advantages for not only enjoying a porno flick, but also porn online and live sex chat included, surely many people are using the privacy and time alone to enjoy online porn with one hand on their laptop. I think that the viewing of porn and live sex chat in hotel rooms is seriously under estimated.
My article specified “mainstream hotels,” as in brand name chains.
