Finally started to remove/delete the older chat messages, media and stuff like that in the xirta sex chat system.
Started today with removing old posted pics that were older than 30 days. (pretty sure I didn’t delete user avatars! fingers crossed!)
Next I’ll start pulling messages that were posted that are older than 14 days. This will go room to room as I test the time it takes and other things.
Given that this is a new chat system that is in constant/current development – there are many possible unforseen issues that could occur as I start removing more and more messages and media. So hang on tight.
I’d like to get things back to where most everything is extremely ephermal with all messages being removed like every 15 minutes or something.
In the nearer term we will likely get to removing all things older than 48 hours pretty soon.
I’ll need reports from folks if anything bizarre happens with private messages, invites, or old rooms people may have expected to be able to there are gone. <ainly so we can better explain to everyone what to expect in the future.
This new purging setup should remove old rooms, messages and media.
More and more will be disappearing soon!
